尹韵雅 Yin Yunya (b. 1990, China) holds BA degrees in photography from Beijing Film Academy and MA from the University of the Arts London. Her recent research and practice considers objects as a medium of "language": an in-depth investigation of the rational level of objects and the sensual level of materials.Through this way she excavates latent correspondences between anthropogenic environments, natural systems, and human consciousness. Usually this method is considered poetic, but for her, it is based on the understanding of the "unity of man and nature" cosmology in Eastern philosophy: the contingency of things exists in the inevitability of the connection between all things. Her conceptual practice, anchored in contemporary experience, synthesizes artistic and literary traditions with material studies and metaphysical inquiry and dramatically suggesting the mutual connection of the ever changing world on ourselves. Yunya Yin has exhibited internationally, and widely participation in residency,her works have been collected by various art museums and foundations.
